What types of training does the UPC CIM offer?

We offer three major areas of technological training: Specialization Courses to delve deeper into specific technologies, 100% Subsidized Courses to improve employability, and "In Company" Training tailored to the specific needs of companies.

Who are the Subsidized Courses for?

The program is aimed at both active workers (salaried and self-employed), through the Consortium for Continuing Education of Catalonia (CFCC), and unemployed people through the SOC programs. Its objective is to improve professional skills in a practical way and directly applicable to the workplace.

What topics do the Subsidized Courses cover?

We provide training in the technologies most in demand by the industry, such as computer-aided design and machining (SolidWorks), BIM environments (Basic and Intermediate Revit), industrial 3D printing, programmable automation, CAD design applied to electrical systems, and mechanical design with Inventor 3D.

What is the methodology and format of the courses?

The vast majority of our training is eminently practical. We offer different formats depending on the course: in-person at our facilities (Llorens and Artigas, Barcelona), 100% virtual, or in a blended format. Courses are typically held in the evening (e.g., from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM) to facilitate work-life balance.

What are Specialization Courses?

They are paid training programs, such as 3D modeling courses with Blender or programming courses with Python, aimed at acquiring highly specific and advanced technical knowledge in a short period of time.

How does custom (“In Company”) training for businesses work?

We develop training projects tailored to the realities of each organization. The added value is that the content, practical exercises, and projects are designed based on the company's actual needs, making the learning immediately applicable to its processes.

Where is the training for companies held?

We offer maximum flexibility. In-company training can be conducted at your company's own facilities, in the classrooms and laboratories of the UPC CIM Center, or online, with dates and times also adapted to your availability.

How can I request a custom course for my company?

The procedure is very simple. You just have to fill out the “Company Training Request” form available on our website, indicating your details, the topic of interest and your specific needs. Our team will analyze the request and prepare a customized proposal.

How do I enroll in a subsidized course?

Through our website you can view the catalog of available courses. If a course has open spots, you'll see an “Enroll” button. If it's pending approval or full, you can use the “Notify Me” option to receive a notification when new sessions open.

Do the subsidized courses have any cost?

No, these programs are 100% subsidized (free enrollment) thanks to funding from entities such as the Consortium for Continuing Education of Catalonia or the SOC.
