With the help of a 3D Selective Laser Sintering printer, the Ferrari and McLaren suspensions that the communicator Albert F\u00e0brega showed at the Emilia Romagna GP were manufactured.<\/em><\/p>\n

Albert F\u00e0brega has more than 25 years of experience as a motorsport technician: he is one of the leading specialists in our country. In recent years he has worked in Formula 1 through DAZN F1<\/strong>. His knowledge, experience and ease of communication are indispensable for all motorsport enthusiasts.<\/p>\n

Throughout the Formula 1 season, Albert F\u00e0brega delights us with his ‘F\u00e0brega Lessons<\/strong>‘, a kind of masterclass in which he teaches us, with a great didactic language, how F1 works inside.<\/p>\n

During the Formula 1 GP of Emilia Romagna<\/strong>, we could see how Albert F\u00e0brega delighted us with a spectacular “F\u00e0brega lesson”. In the DAZN F1 broadcast<\/strong>, he explained in detail the difference between the push rod suspension (used by Ferrari) and the pull rod (used by McLaren and Red Iron), as well as the advantages and disadvantages of each of them.<\/p>\n

For which he used a series of photographs to model in 3D the suspension designs of Ferrari and McLaren. Once he had the 3D models, he contacted the head of technological services of the CIM UPC<\/strong> Daniel Gomez<\/a> to manufacture the parts with the most appropriate technology.<\/p>\n

After analyzing the geometry and the type of application, it was proposed to manufacture the models with SLS Technology<\/strong> (Selective Laser Sintering<\/a>), since it has no geometrical restrictions and the mechanical properties are excellent. Albert F\u00e0brega had access to our facilities to record the process of machine preparation and post-processing of parts. For which he had the collaboration of Roger Uceda<\/a>, Director of Transfer and Valuation<\/strong> of CIM UPC, who has over 15 years of experience in the field of 3D printing.<\/p>\n
